Robot Wasp.

Hello there, I'm relatively new to 3D. And i was drawing something up today, and decided I wanted to start with this as my first work ever. I will be starting a mechanical wasp like robot. Here is the concept to start off.

Another thing I'd like to point out to people is that im a pretty fast worker at things, so its a good thing to watch out for my threads so you can crit my work and such. here are a few screens of the base.

ok now this is when I've converted the polys into subd. With a mental ray render. Nothing much to really crit yet, but I like to post up from the most basic items.

coming along quite nicely so far, but i think the renders are a little dark so it's hard to see details...
