This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Guess what? There IS no best way user added image Just a lot of tinkering with polys or nurbs.

I have one modeleld almost exactly like it ill post it as soon as i get home ..... its a little on the high poly side but w/e... just having fun

MJ,

I would do it in NURBS quickly to get the basic shape and then convert to polys and then to Sub-D. Once you have the shape in place in Sub-D convert back into Polys but keep the details (i thinks it is the Adaptive Option u use).
