Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Render out 32bit image

Hi All,
does anybody know how to output a 32 bit image with Maya Software rendering engine? In Max i can just choose RLA / RPF and then there is a check box option for 32 bit. I need it for further color correction in compositing software so that i don't loose the quality. Thanks before.

I don't think you can do that with Maya Software renderer. With Mental Ray you can. Just choose an image format that supports it (e.g. tiff) and switch the mental ray framebuffer format to 32 bit float...
