This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Interesting concept. I like the face, it looks like baboonish.
I cannot see the tip of the creature's tail though.
How tall is he gonna be? I am picturing him Godzilla size.

He is going to be Tiger Size.

Ok so the very basic level is blocked out.

Next i will define the face basics, like the mouth, eyes, side hornes, and combining the legs to the body.

Extra note the front horn should be one. no two, and the spine fins are on also.

All the horn except the side horn behind the ears are Metal.

The front one is a sword.

So tonight ill have basic level 2 finished i think.

I will now start with the side horn, but i will redefine the body with in zbrush as its much easyer.

After defining the shape of everything, ill uv map it in maya, then import it again to zbrush.

Here is an update

It probably would have done you more good to have not started with the exteriors such as the horns sticking out. That makes it a whole lot easier to just shape the body to your needs.

The anatomy looks like it's trying to come together but right now the back body and legs could use some more general muscle defining. Also the front "shoulder" area looks like a cube is trying to come out of the skin so that could use some fixing also.

definitely agree with gohan concerning the anatomy - especially the back legs which are looking a little odd at the moment - i like the overall feel to this though - the face and front feet are looking very nice - keep at it! user added image
