Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Very nice so far!

Looking forward to seeing some smooth Renders!

I've still got to model the rear Intake on my Camaro.
As well as a bunch of other things.

Anyway, nice work!

I think were the only two people posting in each others threads user added image

It would be nice to get some more support and input from the rest of the community...... O'well!

Looking forward to updates.

Not bad!! Not Bad at all!

There are allot of areas that are off, or miss shaped (bumpy, and creased) and the Rims are way off, as you said, BUT this is all due to the fact that your rushing!!!

The Renders seem pretty good! What settings are you using?

Looking forward to seeing how this turns out.

I'm sorry to hear, and see you've lost interest in this project!

the only area ive found to be off is the rear bumper, it doesnt have the right shape at the very bottom but its something that could be fixed easily.

The rims are actually pretty close that it shouldnt be that noticeable but the texture on them needs a lot of work.

I never put the turn signals in which i should but what areas do you see that are Bumpy?

Your front bumper is also off, and i can't see the rear bumper as to see if it is off, as you said.

The front Bumper should have a wedge like shape protruding out the front. You have this shape, though the top crease that runs along the top (attaching it to the bumper) should run through the Fog lights, and then come to a sharp point at the sides.

Your crease seems to stop before the Fog lights, and then continues after them, creating a awkward crease. That looks like it doesn't belong there.

Also there should be a crease running around the bottom of the bumper. Starting at the wheel well, and heading around slightly, and ending at the start of the wedge.

Also there should be a crease on the top of the bumper, at the side of the Head lights, running around to where the side indicators should be.

Now non of this is too major, and can be fixed with simple tweaking, so theres no real problem.

Also the side skirt on your models runs too far under the car. Set up your bottom ref, and you will see that it only goes, under slightly.

Also the rims are off, they should go in allot deeper. Google some images, and you'll see what i mean.

Anyway, other than that everything looks great to me user added image

P.S. I sent you an Email with the Paint Shader!

yeah i see what you mean about those creases. Those creases arent as clearly defined on my reference images i got (actual car pictures), i should have gotten more references as i only had about 5, plus my T,B,R,F,Bottom views.

I think the car is pretty much done as ive wanted to try other projects for a while. but ive wanted to work on renders for a while and i leanred a lot for it. hopefully i can get UV texturing done next project(as i have no idea how to do it yet).

Final images of my Camaro I consider the project done but there are a few minor problems with it, but i plan to redo this project in the future to see if i can improve it as i usually do with most of my models.

Looking pretty solid!

I like the last render the most!

I can see that you've used generic tires, as opposed to the actual Camaro 09 GoodYears. user added image

Anyway, really nice work! And I had fun doing this project at the same time.

nothing wrong with a walmart special on tires!

Besides its the first time ive ever done tread, and the only reference images i had. im still very proud of actually doing the tread(and it not coming out like ass)

Im still trying to figure out how to UV model.. im so completely lost, if anyone can point towards a good free tutorial for it ide appreciate it.
