What graphics Card!!....

Hey,

Just a quick question. I am due to upgrade my graphics card, being a newbie to maya, I am not sure what graphics card would be compatible .

Here are the one's I was thinking, again any help would be grateful.

512MB FIREGL V5600

512MB QUADRO FX1700 PCI

512MB QUADRO FX570 PCI

from personal experience i prefer the quadro series over the firegl
found that the quadro was more stable and the driveers were better.

i havent looked at those cards so im not sure on what they are capable of

r u using this only for maya?
i run a quadro and still play games but quadros and firegl are opengl based whereas the gaming counter parts are directx based
but they still do both but are better at one


Now at SMU doing BSc 3D Computer Animation so its hard to get on here
