This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

Yea I actually did that after I had drawn this (thinking I was all bad a** for using paint) just to see some amazing stuff lol.

Ozgalis, somewhere on the web is a Mona Lisa done in MS paint. It's amazing.

yeh Oz have a looka around,,,there are some amazing artworks done in just paint...I didnt think much of paint until I saw some of thses people....bloody amazing.

Thats some nice work there Coldwave, love the line art! I think shading could use a bit more work though. Is it possible for you to redo the sketch on paper?

Thats a lot better CW...I think the shading is still too heavy. Im no expert but when I shade I try to highlight only (cartoon style) and if there is a base shade required...I would usually do it so light you can only just see it. That is damn fine work though mate....

Not bad mate!! Im a Manga fan (well used to be)...I loved Ninja Scrolls...now that was some artwork and Ghost in the Shell was a beauty too....keep up the good work mate!

This is a painting I did in my recent stab at art lessons. Had some help with the color mixing, and plenty of advice from my awesome teacher. Hope you like it. It's from a National Geographic photo by Steve McCurry.
