Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

That was 12 minutes of my life I have lost forever! My ears and eyes are bleeding.

Oohhhhhh... so long... did anyone actually watch the whole thing? I just skipped forward lots. And still, I was going to make some serious analysis on the few minor weak points I could spot... but I just don't have the energy anymore. Ack.

I saw this a few weeks ago. It's funny, but if you read the original post on vfxtalk it makes me feel sorry for him a bit... Part of does think "well he did put it out there"

Alrighty! I can't really make fun of the guy, he's trying. Truth is though, when you post work on the net, its open season, you just have to roll with it or quit. The poor technical quality aside (that is not a "demo ready" skill level), its damn near mind boggling that anyone will make a reel that is 12 minutes long. Why for fks sake?! Has he never seen a reel, ever? Pretty much all of it was really slow to take shape and devoid of some of the most basic principles.

I found Colins bear animation funny, because the guy that made it ( let's call him Colin LOL)knew his skill sucked and used it to put pressure on he school where he followed a course.
This guy really thinks he has made VFX 3.0 in a showreel which lasts 12 minutes so I feel a bit sorry for the guy and couldn't bear to watch it very long ( I am one of the -apparently so from what I have heard-people who can't bare to watch the preliminairies of all those talent shows)

This is everything he has done all put together in chronological order. Which is a great example of how you should be selective when making a reel and use just your best work.
