latest full version offline setup of Maya

Hello forum,
would like to make some first experiences in 3D and with Maya user added image

1.
Is it ok buy and afterwards to use/install an old version of Maya of a user with has an actual Maya subscription?

2.
What is the latest full version offline setup of Maya?
