Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Yea, its much easier if you extrude. What I do is, make the curve I want, then use the Curve to Tube script I have. MUCH easier than duplicating and lofting. Also, if you want to change it later on, you can just modify the curve, and the tube corresponds. user added image

I think that the design is better than the previous one, but I am a little confused about what is happening around the knee area. I kind of had the same issues when I was modeling my "Oven" user added image Its really hard to get a shape that is smooth and has hard edges at the same time. I just went back to the low poly, and applied beveled edges, around .2-.1 and it really made it look nice! I really like your head!
Brian

Btw I mean the hip joint not the knee. oops, the knee looks fine. user added image
