Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

latest modelling update !!!!! user added image i give it a name : IronSoldier :mingun: hehe now i finish the modelling part i have to rig it (so hard for me !!user added image ),do some shader (i ll don t use texture) and do a little scene . :wow:

cheak the skin wights of all the arm boans.. there probly afecting the side of the model witch you odveusly don't want...

try that. how to get to and do the paint skin wights is in the turets with maya.

its a posibility..

Hey cyrius, because of the new site change it looks like it cleared out the images. No worries though, i will hopefully fix that some time this week user added image (sigh). Great job so far man, nice robot user added image. One thing i think it could be is that if you made a skeleton for the guy, that your arm joint is too close to the hip, and it is thinking its part of your arm. I suggest upping the size of your model and then redoing the skeleton so that the bones are not so close. Maybe that would work user added image. Cya

i did two shaders and i need your comments to decide which i ll use in the final render : choose between Shader test 1 ( simple with noise on bump )
and shader test 2 ( with a ramp in "reflectivity"and "reflected color")
and M, when will we have to show the final render?

test 2 looks the best to me, could you maybe do a brighter render then we can see more clearly, but 2 looks v. good to me!!
