Beer glass scene creation
This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Ok I got a working solution for the tracks. I can make them move as the should in Maya but it's still a bit of a pain to key them properly. I've almost finished the modelling and so now I have the nasty nasty task of laying out the UVs which for me is the biggest stumbling block of any project. I will bring in some pics tomorrow of where I'm currently at.

Thanks for all the good comments so far I may just get this one finished user added image

I had a look in a local model shop and the Challenger tanks in there didn't have beer barrels on their rear ends... should they be there?

If not can you bring them along to the Xmas thing on Saturday?

Slight deviation but that Thunderbirds trailer looks terr-rif-fick!! It seems to have kept the Thunderbirds very close to their original design. How much did you have to do on this project as Junior TD?

WOW! I hope you can make it to the Simply Maya Christmas Convention - I mean piss up user added image

When I went to last years DMG the speakers at the 'Getting into 3D' seminar said that 3D production companies are swamped with character animators but they are crying out for Technical Directors.

Hmmm, is it hard becoming TD? I might have a go at that...

thanks, three more main modelling jobs to do:
1> Fix the inside of the wheels and how they connect to the body.
2> Remodel the command hatch machine gun and give it an ammo belt
3> Fix the inside of the turret where the main barrel of the cannon comes inside the turret. Not sure how I'm gonna do this one I'll have to see.

Then the joys of texturing await me user added image

sorry for the lack of updates, I've been really lazy with this for a while now. I've started texturing and looking at doing some lighting. I found a cool script that has helped me to animate the tracks and so I've got some quick animations with this thing rolling along user added image

Expect some updates once I get back from xmas and I get my arse in gear, I'm gonna try and do some HDRI lighting wit it at work so it should rock out a fair bit user added image
