Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

Textures are looking much better Pony!
Also nice that you managed to break up the evenness without adding more spots.

Excellent!

Chipper, Thanks..

The bionic leg.. LOL.. I am defininly planning on putting more stuff in. I just haven't got to it yet.. I have it all planned out.. I just got sidetracked. Need to fix a cuple of things befor I start on the leg.

Mike.. thanks !!!! as above.. oh I think it looks way to sparse like it is, also. yep.. I'm dreaming of being able to move on to Arwen myself.

Chris, thanks !! yeah it seemed like a cheep shot to me to break up the texture using spots.. I meen if I wanted spots just for spots, thats one thing.. but for them to be required for something else to look right isn't very good IMO.

Cheers to all .. thanks !

Hey mate, that looks great. The only thing I find out odd, is that his robotic leg is verry weak.but overall, great stuff! Keep it up!

Sil-Valeor, thanks. The leg will go through some changes..

Speaking of legs.. the horse is in a lattice deformer to change the proportions. Especially the back legs as it was pointed out they were looking a little weird. Thanks to Kevin and IceQueen for pointing that one out.

full details after I get some sleep..

Ok hear is the edit.
The problem with the back legs and stuf is taken care of. I mesured the bone lingths from 3 frams of the movie. every thing is with in 5% no.. Nothing better than that, with out better ref.

The light is set up for the morning sun.

Thanks Lsphinx.
Its just one big lattice deformer. I changed the proportions on the back legs, body length, and face length. Less tweaking this way to get what I want, since it was just broad general changes.. Thin I just duplicated the geo.. and deleted the Lattice.

The quality of this one is not as good as the last but at 8 minets even for a small render its hard to tweak. Getting all the little problems fixed and out of the way though..
