Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Grid on objects

Hello,

I have a simple scene with a bunch of buildings that are represented by polygon boxes, as you can see below.

I need to have grids across all walls of the buildings to show the depth of space for composting later on. Basically, by having a grid on the walls, we can see how the grids get smaller as they further back in space.

I've tried using a grid material but the problem was that the grid got scaled to the building, so it isn't helpful.

Is there way to do this? Maybe as a render setting?

Thanks!!

there's a tile procedural texture you can use - you can change the width of the seam to your liking
