This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

3D Text in Maya???

Hey, is there any way you could do 3D text in Maya by just typing in, or have Maya make curves that you can bevel to make text... cuz i want the type to be perfect... and i don't wanna trace with the CV curve tool to make each letter cuz that takes a long time... thanx!! user added image

Hello,

Create > Text > Option box

Type your text ( choose eventually Text Font...,etc)

Select each letter of your text and choose:

Modeling > Surfaces > Bevel Plus

Do this for each letter of your text (you can use the "G" key as shorcut command)
