Sorry, can't think of anything except a little more muscle definition on the torso but I guess you're already working on that.

Hi folks,

First of all I have to say that this is my first “organic” character and he was a great challenge for me…
Neptune has a reptile skin bump shader on it.
Than I make a landscape, some boats, a little bit of fog and… the final render…
The total render time of this scene was 04:26 min. :p
I hope you will like it… user added image

Oooo… by the way, what do you think, for the next challenge should I go as a normal competitor? I have now 4 month of Maya experience user added image
In this time I learned a lot of things by these competitions (here on Simply Maya), and from the “Maya 4 Fundamentals” book. Also the “Learn Maya 3” book was useful… so I recommend those books for all newbie’s… user added image
In rest I think the clue for all is… to practice a lot and learn a lot…

See you till the next challenge. user added image

Ok Kevin, I will try to improve the look of rocks..., with seals… I don’t know… but I will try.

Baby duck, in my opinion Neptune was a big (I said, big) thing, and he sleeps in the bottom of the ocean, and when somebody wake him up, he crash and destroy everything... user added image … so those poor fellows waked him up… user added image … ah… that’s it.

The water is more blue than the sky, I think this "should" be corrected. But I'm slightly color blind anyway user added image

nice scene!

Neptune's hands seem a little small... but good upper body!

Thanks fellows for cheers user added image , I’m glad that you like it.

Undseth, the water should be “mystic” like the fog what came out from it…

Yes M, I modeled the boats too…

Ereitz, let’s face it… it’s my firs “human” character modeling, but I will keep that remark for future.

At Kevin’s suggestion I made those modifications and here is the final shot of my scene with more detail at the boats (add some stairs) and the bump improvements for the land.

At the boats I do not make them very complicated because the fences, anchor, etc is hard to see because of fog.
So this is my picture for this month competition. user added image

Also simultaneous I made a headquarter and I will post it in the finished work area.
