how do you make water

I dont know how you to make water in maya could anyone tell me how I ask a lot of questions dont I

Sounds like you want to try fluid effects.

There should be some tutorials online or mess around with the Maya defaults.

ocean shader is a good ocean shader, duh, lol, i suggest buying Nextlimit realflow, or Glu3d

Fluid Effects ---> Get Ocean/Pond Exapmple

There you will find some basic animated fluids. Good as a starting point and to sort of see how it all work.
