Vlad

Clothing is coming along. Did you use the body mesh itself or new from scratch?

I hate to say this, but can we see the wire..? Not specifically for myself but perhaps for others to see, give an idea of topology

Mcfleury:

Easy dude, my comments werent aimed at you specifically, just overall, generally. Also just pointing out to you the finger to thigh proportions too. No harm done...

i started it from scratch.
its kinda symmetrical right now, ill make it assymetrical soon.
i had to get rid of ngons for this, because i quikly made a test rig and i was getting funky deformations

Thats an interesting and not so subtle comment to put here when Im posting as well. Use your brain before you engage your keyboard in future. So please dont pitch people off against one another pointlessly, especially when my name comes into play...

Needless to say I highly respect the work Vlad turns out and am always in awe him anyway.

Cheers

yeah Jay,
i agree, these are more equally good, in differant ways, yours is a girl, so not much muscle definition is needed, but on vlads, its a guy, and muscle definition is usually needed, so i would say these are both the same quality.

Also I dont think he realises that Im a moderator in ythis forum and I could get out of control and accidently delete all his posts LOLuser added image

Awesome cloth, but you mentioned about animating. When animating cloth, don't you just leave it flat w/out wrinkles and let the animation part do the wrinkling? I was thinking, with wrinkles already modeled when animating, the same wrinkles would appear over and over. Anyhow, cloth looks really cool. You planning to texture it when you're done?

Yes you're right it does. But as this is poly it will keep these creases. Which I think is intended, more like generic creases to keep a happy medium for the rigged version. I cant see this going to the procedural Maya 'cloth state'.

Though I could be wrong....LOL

13th _resident, yes lets.
