Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Ambient Occlusion

I have Maya 2011. I want to render a scene with ambient occlusion but I want to have Maya apply/combine the ambient occlusion layer instead of doing this in post with another program. Most tutorials in the web say how to do this in layers but not the combining part. Your help is appreciated!

Thanks!

If you're rendering with mentalray, you can do this with Mix8Layer.
