Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

lattice

i still can't move my lattice points even when i change from object mode just don't know what it could be does it in 5 and 4.5 could it be my video card or something?

Maybe you arent selecting lattice points. try right clicking and selecting lattice point rather thatn object mode. If you mean it is selecting the point but just running too slow to move it, that could be your video card as well as many other factors; whether you have enough processing speed, RAM, etc.
