Adding a soundtrack to my animation?

Hi, I need to add a soundtrack to my animation, and I seem to have managed to import it and make it display in the timeline, but for some reason when I render the animation to avi the sound doesnt play.

What's the best method to add sound to an animation?

Thanks.

I don't know how to do it in maya, but you could renderout your scene, then download videomach, which you can then add the soundtrack to your avi.

Audio can be added in Maya Directly. The audio sits under your Time Slider. Press F1 for the Maya Help and search for audio or sound or download the lip sync tute from here.
