rendering windows

please help im making a kitchen and i have given a face a glass attirbute but every time i put any lighting in even behind the window and render it the window apreast totaly black seems to apear totaly black and i have a blue sky on the other side, can anyone help?

Sounds like you need to boost the refractions number in the render settings (under the raytrace section).

Thanks, ha u did tell me on my kitchen wip as well but i just turned the refrections on and didnt turn them up high enough, thanks it works now user added image
