quick Q

ok, in maya 4.5, every time i open a new window such as the attribute editor, it replaces the channel box on the right. is this set by default and can it be changed? it is somewahat useful, but i would prefer minimizing windows rather than have them replace the channel box. can this be changed somehow?

In your Maya preferences:

WINDOW - SETTINGS/PREFERENCES - PREFERENCES

The very top item on the left-hand list, INTERFACES.

Select that, and you can tell maya to open your attribute editor, and tool items in a separate windowuser added image

Lemme know if this worked for youuser added image
