Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Basic Modelling Question

Greetings my friend, this is my first question/message on this site.

1) What is the difference when you set the height & width & depth in the option box of a primitive as to just make any and scale according to your requirements ?.

2) Some objects (Those that you duplicate from another object), don't have the input box to change the original values like "height, width, radius, dept". Why is that ? is it not good to duplicate objects ?

These are for now, tons more to follow user added image

Thanks in advance.

1) Not a huge difference.

2) In your duplicate options, you'd need to turn on Duplicating the inputs. You can choose for it to duplicate and use the inputs of the first object, or duplicate and have its own set of inputs for it.
