Shadows on a pond

Hi guys, having a trouble getting shadows on a pond fuild container. Not sure why but I cant get any shadows, any help much appreciated

go to your light attribute and under shadow just check depth map shadow or raytrace shadow.raytrace is a lot better but i think you have to active the raytrace option in the render option to be able to see stg.
