Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

<-- shudders ... now that looks awesome.

By the way K. are you aiming for photorealism? or Final fantasy´s so called "hyperrealism"?
I say so since the eyes look kinda unreal to me ... however as you quite pointed somewhere around this thread .. better wait for the whole picture.

I'm not sure where am I aiming at. Just pointing and shooting :p Seriously, I've never been good at shading and texturing. Let's consider this as an excercise user added image

Preliminary textures. Still lot's to do. Especially the speculars and bumps are just quick ones...

Whoa! .. That´s looking awesome so far ...!

Only thing I feel a bit akward is the earlobes (¿?) ... common denominator is they´re a bit separated .. not fused with the head ... don´t know if you get my point.

I see your point, thanks! But there are different types of ears user added image. This is the one I'm after:

Btw, the model above isn't final. The ears in general needs some more tweaking. I think they're too thin...I just wanted to jump out from modeling for a while and do some UV layout and texturing for a change user added image.

I decided to remake the texturing:

That's how far I got until I realized that the UV layout needs to be redone as well. I think the only good way to do it is the hard way. That means I have to create the textures from scratch again user added image

Well, I guess this is what I've been saying: Do a lot, Fail a lot and Learn a lot user added image
