Transforming my Animation Into A Video

Yes, I want to make my animation project in Maya into a video I can send to my friends? How do I accomplish this exactly?? Thanks!!

Okay, I got it all down, but how in the heck do I slow this animation down? It's at 3 seconds right now. That's waaaay too fast!!

Does it "appear" to playbacvk fine in the Maya window but fast on the rendered animation?

If so you might not have taken into account frame timings of your animation

I figured it out in the Render settings; it just took a little playing around with. Problem solved!!
