Car Crash

Hey guys,

Heres a pic form an animation that i'm putting together, thats gonna be a car crash.

Its a render showing the motion blur and the particles that come off from the body on impact, I dont think that i'll be able to do much work on it other than put the animation together.

C's and C's appreciated though!

Cheers

The windows are shattered (car windows dont break up on an impact), The dents are more visable on its second roll

Can't wait till you have this animation done!! Good progress so far.
As for car windows...I got to take one apart 2 days ago and it consists of 3 layers. Glass on both sides and a plastic layer in the middle. A pain in the arse to break apart.

Will do when I get it rendered, I need to sort out the cameras then render it, the cars not in too high detail, (Big cube for the base) as i'm running out of time for it, so hopefully I should get something in the next week

Do you guys know of any sites that I could post the animation on?

(Pref Free!!)

Cheers

That's tight! Is this project done yet?

Do you mind to explain how you animated the car roll over and make the window shatter?

Is just great, keep up the good work.

It didn't quite turn out how I wanted it too as my PC was too slow to animate it properly (took about 3-4 seconds to play a frame from within Maya). So the rolling of the car is a bit dodgey.

I animated the rolling of the car using keyframes and the damage was using softbodies interacting with the floor (which ended up being a headache)

The windows looking shattered was an image mapped to the incandesance node of the material and then keyframed so it appeard on impact.

The colors and the lightning looks a bit off. But the motion in the picture is nice.
