RIP: Stan Winston:(

As some of you may or may not know, Stan Winston passed away yesterday (Sunday June 16th).

Stan has created many of the most iconic characters and effects makeups in the last 35 years, such as the Terminator, Jurrasic park dinos, Constantine makeups and creatures, the list goes on and on.

He was also the SFX Super on the upcoming movie:
Terminator Salvation: The future begins (i.e. T4), so that really sucks.

Here is his IMDB: STAN WINSTON

Here is more at the Wiki: STAN WINSTON

Here is some small bts from JP3 featuring the work SW did, Stan is at the end:JP3 BTS

RIP Stan. Thanks for the memories.

Wow, thats too bad. He was one of my inspirations for working in film effects. He was always featured on one of my favorite shows growing up - Movie Magic. He will be missed.

Man, Stans death was a shot out of nowhere. The world will never be the same. I became a instant fan of Stans work after I learned about his involvement in the first terminator. Ever since then I have followed a great deal of his work.

I wonder how much he did for T4 before he passed away.
