Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Navigation switches to wireframe?

I have no idea why, but suddenly when I pan, zoom, or anything, in maya 2012 the objects all flash to wireframe view until i stop scrolling. Is there a way to turn this off?

In your modeling panel, under "Shading" if "Interactive Shading" is checked on, open the option box for it and choose a different mode from the interactive shading dropdown menu. I'm guessing you'd prefer "shaded".
