good job.
keep working on it and add details little vy little. don't put too many polys so your mesh can be clean from the start.

What I mean is can you do a screen grab while the object is selected and post it so we can see your mesh and also is it a polygon mesh, a subdivision surface or a nurbs surface that you are using to build it with?
