Hardware Render Buffer ANIMATION?

I want to render 10 frames through the Hardware Render Buffer.

So I go to Window>Rendering Editors>Hardware Render Buffer. I set the start and end frame to 1 and 10. I go to Render>Attributues>Image Output Files>Image Format. WHICH FILE TYPE DO I CHOOSE TO MAKE AN ANIMATION!?!? And after I choose the file type I Render>Render Sequence, but I don't know if the file(s) save anywhere. PLEASE HELP

The reason I'm using the Hardware Render Buffer is because I need to display some objects as wireframe, and others with shading. I can do that through the render buffer.

if your project is set properly then the images will goto your maya project then images also use tifs for rendering your images.

you need to set you maya project (file > set project) that tells maya where to save the files! and choose tiffs as your "FILE TYPE DO I CHOOSE TO MAKE AN ANIMATION" that way you can turn it into an animation afterwards.
