Glass Effect

Can anyone tell me how i make glass effects. I tried some turtorials but NO one is for 5.0. There is always somthing there not where it should. And if it not to much, how do i make a mirror.

You need to raytrace or use reflection maps to get a mirrored surface. A scanline renderer will not do reflections by default.

The alias website should have some tutes about making glass. Take a quick look there.

Alias got rid of the old tuts.
If you want to make a glass shader, open up some of the default glass shaders that come with Maya and revers engineer it in the Hypershader.
