Default [heavy download]a handful of lowpoly characters

Hey there!

just registeret to the forum, really impressive stuff you are all doing!

I've got a handfull of characters i would like to show you and perhapse get so C&C on, they are all WIP's so i would be greatful of any comment!

here goes!

this character is surpose to be 'the mouth of sauron' just finished the books and i was quiet sad that the mouth of sauron was not in PJ's films, so here is my version of him heavy inspiret by the LOTR movies

and here is his horse

next on up is a cavetroll

this one started out as a sumo wrestler but as i began texturing him i changed my mind and tryed to make him in to a Samoan warrior . . don't really know if it is going to work out, perhapse I have to change him back to a wrestler . . .

just a deep sea fish!

last one is an 'india jones/return to castle wolfenstien' kind of über nazi, hope nobody is offended by him, not my intention.

hope i haven't broken any rules regardning image size and so on.

Uh Donkey Kong Country haven't thought about that game for a long time, it had som sweet charcters! but regarding the fish it is actually more a ripoff of the one in finding nemo and the real fish, an angle fish i think it is called
more or less look this http://www.divestories.co.za/images/...Anglerfish.jpg
strange looking animal but kind of cool in it's own way

Sweet models dude.

@ FrenZy - the Mouth of Sauron is mentioned towards the end of the book before the last Battle started. He talks to Gandalf the White and tries to make a deal with him to surrender.

hey all and thanks alot!

regarding the cavetroll. . i was a RPG convention in Denmark where some of the conceprt artist from weta where speaking, and they showed pictures from LOTR, and the was some of the cavetroll with out his cloth, and i figured since i could not make that cloth thing he has on, move nicely on my lowpoly character why make it.. .so there he is... the cave troll . . butt naked. . and a hole lot easyer to animate

I am hoping to post new pictures of the horse today, trying to make it more massive, looks a bit fragile and skinne i think and then hopefully some more on the sumo/samoan texture.

David that normal map makes it look much better. Im wondering, did you use zbrush or just the standard maya tools for that?

@orgeeizm

the model on the picture is the highpoly model i am going to use as a normal map, but hopefully the lowpoly with the normal map is going . . something like that

i used both maya and Zbrush, i gave the the poly model alot more volume i maya and then i imported it to Zbrush to give it the blood veins scars, and so on, and now i am taking it back to maya so do the tail with the sculp tool.
