Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

Tris are triangle polygons (no more than 3 sides).

To enter, just start a thread titled as the others have and begin posting your work!

You're creating a piece of game art.

The book goes over techniques on creating game art with Maya... modeling, UV Mapping, Rigging, Animation, Particle FX, etc.... all with games in mind.

There is one compititon going on now. You can still join now.

To show the triangles, go to Display>Heads Up Display>Poly Count.

For the transparency right click and hold on the object, go to Materials>Assign New Material>(for a shiny surface like a window you want a blinn). Then go to the transpareny slider in the attribute editor. pull the slider to the left. That will make the material transpareny.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.
