Yamaha tutorial

Hope everyones having a nice weekend.

Thought I'd post my progress so far on Kurt's Yamaha tutorial. I hope lots of people are doing this tutorial, as its great!! I downloaded this as I needed some more practice on complex hard surface objects.

Only done up to part 2 at the moment:

......and here he is after part 3, I think its coming along alright so far. I'm glad Kurt uses polygon techniques, as I've tried making a car using NURBs curves and birails. It looks great, but I had to spend AGES tweaking and redoing curves to get it right. Using polys is soooo much easier.

Hmm. I've been thinking about texturing this model, as it would be really good practice. I was thinking something like this, but maybe changing the blue to a wacky bright orange or green, like you see on the Ninjas:

Thats looking pretty sweet. I hope to get it soon.

Nothing much on the modeling aspect, Are you planning on animating the final product?
