I'd take a whole bunch of misshapen spheres of different sizes and raise them really high up, add different weights to each of them, then make them active rigid bodies and let em drop on the floor which you could make a passive rigid body.
Then again that might be a dumb way to do it. user added image
I tend to make things 100 million times harder than they should be. Its that lack of what they call common sense You could always just poke a few spheres a bit with the sculpt surfaces tool too. Its kind of like stoking or pushing an ant pile (but watch out for the angry ants!)
