Introduction to Maya - Rendering in Arnold
This course will look at the fundamentals of rendering in Arnold. We'll go through the different light types available, cameras, shaders, Arnold's render settings and finally how to split an image into render passes (AOV's), before we then reassemble it i

March/April - Normal - Caligraphics

okay, I'm in for this one.

Search Robot

My concept is a redefinition of the Search Robot. A search Robot is normally some webbased thingy, but my search robot will search for those things that you constantly loose.

- what happened to that pen of mine
- wheres my keys
- where did my kid go
etc.

Sketch shows the concept I drew, but changes may occur during modeling. I especially think the feet need a change, and the legs will definately have some attachments and stuff like that.

I hope you like it.

A little update.

I figured that the robot needed to have some kind of fenders, to protect the equipment..

And another update..

This is a test rendering, plus a few more changes to the actual model.

Tech info :
--------------

Shaders : Standard grey Blinn shaders, with no adjustments and a dark lambert shader for the rubber bands.

Environment : My Studio Light setup, that I use for Industrial Designs.

Rendering : Maya 6.5 Mental Ray, with FG .. I used Satelite rendering, on 2 P4 3ghz with 1gb ram, and 1 AMD Tbird 1400 with 512 mb ram.
Time for rendering : Approx 2 min. in 800x600
