Complex UV Layout in Maya
Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

BMW M5 (E39) (Gallery Submission)

Hi all,
This is my first attempt at a cg car, its a Bmw m5 model e39 the 2000model, one of my favorite. i thought it could be a great modelling exercise. Made in Maya and redered in MR, final image was edited in photoshop. Comments are most welcome. Thanks!

very nice modeling. only crit is on those big highlights. to me they look a bit too bright and the edges are a bit jagged.

it´s been a whille... i decided to improve the quality of the render for my bmw m5 series, i think its more "photorealistic" but im still not happy with the result, the enviroment is temporary so dont mind it. the hdri i used is pretty common, ill try some with higher resolutions when i have the chance. I havent redone any modelling
this image was rendered in Maya with MR and HDRI, at 1600x1200 in 10 minutes on a Dual Opteron 2.6 with 2gb Ram
Hope you like the image

PPL i need your help, i want to finish this, to move on for that i need those nasty critics of your´s!!!
