thanks for the help man. i checked it out. pro is not free. but, LE is free. so, i downloaded that. seems to be quite good. i am reading its help file right now. but, i am also trying to finish a model i am making, so havent had the time to learn much about it...

Maya will provide more tools as you progress.
Yes Lt is also good,everything is better then the default gray console.
