finally i started a new project with the objective of learning more about texturing.
The Target is:
(1) more texturing, less modelling
(2) BUT: at last modelling the "tire-threads"
(3) Playing with lights and shaders
was on a 6week trip through central america this summer and beside the impressiv architecture and cultural expirience, i flew a lot :-) (Munich - Madrid - Miami - SanPedroSula // Guatemala City - Miami - Madrid - Munich)
So i decided to model a TowTractor:

small update: i started the driver's cab. Extracted the doors and windows and started the bumper

I finally made some tyre threads and a rim for my TowBear... and some other stuff... :attn:

thats because of the reflection, and you still got to setup some lights.But it looks like playmobil
looks good for your first textures.
