Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

i know now what i want, still need figure out how - the most horrible thing will be the sketch user added image

so here is my idea: as ants can carry 50 times their own weigth, a good transportation thing for other mecha would be a huge ant hosting many smaller mecha inside. as soon as i get it sketched i will post it. and i am not sure yet: should i start a new thread only for the ant or not?

first ant model

ok i moved the ant over to maya. and i had some real fun with nurb spheres user added image so basically i give up for today. the stitching did not work, it messed all up, so instead i lofted the cutted open poles of the spheres together - that seams to work without destroying the shape. but all the legs is missing. i think i will go to poly and subd soon. nurbs is not fun to work with, but cool shapes for head and body user added image and i thought a maya ocean is nice to have instead of black as background.

comments welcome
