How come Andy Serkis wasnt mentioned?

True. Maybe its not at the front of everyones mind yet. It was only really after LOTR that this came to the fore and Serkis was a household name, maybe once the Kong 'super extended special remixed limited redigitised dvd' comes out that we'll start going on about him again. But also dont forget that although Serkis did the mocap for Gollum there were times when they didnt use what he'd done but just used him as a reference against a keyed animation instead. The last shot of The Two Towers is a good example of this (Gollum hiding from the Hobbits, planning their deaths for Shelob) as it was all keyed, no mocap.

Cheers
Jay
