hi,
im new to maya 7 and just saw a videotutorial (version 6.5) that described the "render layer/pass control" options in the maya software render settings.

i like this very much, but cant find it in maya 7. moved it to another place, or was it banned with the new release?

The pass control in maya 7 is now located in the render layers display tab (ctrl+a), you can adjust the what passes you want for each layer, just click the flag next to the layer label.

thanks for the answer.
although i know that option, i found the handling in version 6.5 much easier (ok, but not as powerfull).
