Can maya do this?

hi someone sent me a file in the MP format (maya PLE)
but when i open it in maya 6.5 it dont show is it not possible to view and edit it?

Hmm, its a long shot, but does it work to import it instead of open? I think I read somewhere that it works that way...

No you cant, the PLE Verstion of maya wont open in the full version, if you do its against copywright.
