Narnia

Hey All

Although Narnia offically came out on dvd today, I was lucky enough to get it on Saturday as I ordered it online (special 2 disc)

I recommend it to you all, especially the digital character stuff on there. It will inspire I guarantee, especially those who just want to be animators...theres a creature called an Ankle Slicer thats real small but the animation is fantastic!! but the creme of it was the Lion, Aslan, the fur, the animation, the look, incredible, without a doubt some of the best Photoreal CG to date alongside Gollum. As always its never enough on there but well worth it..go and get it FFS!!

Kong this weekend!!

Jay

I also can't wait to see the Making of Kong user added image should be out soon.

Will get Narnia as soon as it comes out. I had free passes to see it at the moves but we never got around to using them.

Cheers

Kong IMO... I've always thought that there was something (very subtle) about Gollum that looked odd... Animation was great in both cases though user added image

Looking forward to seeing Narnia...

I went and saw this movie in theatres a while back.

It's a really good movie. It has just an overall good feel to it.

Highly recommend you all watch it.

I havent seen the movie but from the ads and pics i have looked at the monkey seems to look very CG as opposed to realistic.

Well I got Kong on DVD earlier this week, and I gotta say...wow!!

I didnt see it at the cinema due to work and stuff at the time, but jeez Weta digital have pushed that to the edge of the technology right now. I was particularly taken with the facial/eye expressions, subtle but spot on. As good as Gollum in every way...
Also New York was digital entirely in the big shots...amazing stuff again.

I look forward to the 4 disc set later in the year where there'll be lots on the Hairy guy himself and more

i just read today that they will make another movie of the chronicles of narnia. this time it will be "Prince Caspien".
i have read 4 of the 7 chronicles of narnia novels.

lion, witch and the wardrobe
prince caspien
the horse and his boy
the magician's nephew

and to be honest i think prince caspien was teh best one.
anyway the new movie will be out in december in 2007.
a loooooooong time to wait
