Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

Mirror image a charactor pose

I'm trying to pose a soccer player I've created.

How do I mirror image the pose?
E.g. The guy shoots with his right leg. In the mirror pose, he shoots with his left.

I tried Duplicate with -1 for the X Scale factor, but the shirt will also mirror image because of that.

I'm thinking of using 2 sets of skeleton, one with the controls managed by Set Driven Keys. But is that possible?

Well you could still do the mirror...

Option A) just mirror the leg portions...

Option B) after the mirror, mirror the shirt image.

Just my thoughts.

yeah...mirror the entire geometry...then select just the shirt, center pivot, and negative scale it.

Here's the image of my problem.

I can't just mirror image the geometry that way.
I think I have to edit the texture manually to reflect it on the mirrored geometry.
