unlucky bird

here's someting I had to do real quick yesterday.
An unfortunate bird unable to fly he tries to help himself using balloons.
I'd like to rig him if I find the time. c&c's very welcome but I might not have the time to work on it for a while.

Strictly speaking I think it is not a real toon shader. It is just a lambert were I raised the diffusion. The outlines were added in a photoshop composite, they were done in maya vector.

I love this image, you've done a great job with the pose and the expression, it really puts forward what the character is feeling...poor little bugger.
