If you want to learn to texture try pressing F1 and reading the help manual theres tutorials in there.

Please try and be a bit more desciptive with your questions.

Why didn't you say that in your first post?

Have a look on highend3d (in the link that esion gave you) and search for the screwdriver tut and the gear tut, they should start you off

This is not texturing, but Rendering. There are lots of tutorials online and in the maya Help files or you could buy a book or DVD. The links above and:

Digital Tutors Free Rendering Tutorials

DT cover a lot of subjects with free tutorials, but if you want to follow there entire project you must buy a DVD. A lot of photorealism is acheived at the compositing stage and require Photoshop or After Effects. Mental Ray is a very complex beast and does take timwe to get to know properly. Don't take this post the wrong way, I only advising you.

How long have you been using Maya?

before creating another thread, think and search.
search the forums, search on google, or look in the manual.
the manual as every definition u need to know in maya. as a matter fact ever option box / tool box in maya has a help menu in it.

takes u straight to the documentation.

relax a little. youre not the first one learning maya, so all youre asking were asked probably 1 day before you actually joined this forum.
