This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
I think his left leg would be more forward if he is leaning into the corner.
I would have also had him hold the Scythe behind his back trying to hide it from veiw (but failing badly). Even if you don`t change it at the moment I think its to far out. It would have been visable from round the corner.
Adding the extra details to the street is also a very cool idea.
still looking very cool

I wanted the scythe to be slightly visable from round the corner, Im kind of going for a look of "he dosen't care who see's him as they aint getting away" Also any victim would see a scythe first then a skeletal hand appear on the wall before he moves round, driving fear into them (thats the Idea anyway!)
Also it makes a bit of use of an area of the model that if he was hiding would be wasted.
I'm gonna move the cloak to make it appead his left legs further out as he looks a bit off balance at the moment.
gster, I think an addition to the wall would ge gr8. A nice street sign from Anhk Morpork maybe

I might add a bit more of a bend forward to his upper body, just to give him the feeling of looking around the corner and to make his pose a bit more dynamic. I definately think that some other scenery - maybe a dumpster? - will add to your model. Good work mate.
Cheers for the comments guys! Will keep everything in mind.
As for the Discworld theme, You guys are reading my mind!
Was thinking of making some random street names (as per the desth theme) up so I dont get into copyrignt as per Mikes notes, so I dont want to push it too far.
Moved his leg out a little to make him look a bit further forward in his lean, also make a trash can and some cans as rubbish to fill up a bit of the scene that otherwise would be empty.
Also need to find my digital camera so I can get some reference pics for his cloak, then I can go into Z and get some nice creases in it.
I'm a bit worried about the scythe, just incase it might end up a bit too thin, have to find out what the overall size of the model has to be then get the measuring tools out to see if its above the minimum.
Anyone know what the overall physical size will be, might have missed it reading the rules???
I reccomend modeling the hands as one piece. Example: you can mode one hand as part of the wall, and the other as part of the scythe. That way you will avoid modeing super thin geometry that might be too small and fragil to copy into a real model.
